Georgian terroir, ancient traditions, and authentic qvevri wines
Saambero Georgia Wines is a project rooted in the ancient winemaking traditions of Georgia, one of the oldest wine-producing regions in the world. In this unique landscape, where viticulture dates back over 8,000 years, wine is not only a product, but a deep cultural expression of the land.
The vineyards are cultivated in a context shaped by diverse microclimates, mineral-rich soils, and a strong connection between nature and human craftsmanship. This environment allows native grape varieties to fully express their identity, delivering wines with distinctive character and authenticity.
At the heart of the project lies a traditional approach to winemaking, often inspired by the use of qvevri — large clay vessels buried underground — which allow natural fermentations and extended skin contact. This method enhances structure, texture, and complexity, resulting in wines that are both raw and deeply expressive.
The philosophy behind Saambero is centered on minimal intervention and respect for natural processes. Each wine is shaped by time, environment, and the intrinsic qualities of the grapes, rather than by technical manipulation.
Saambero Georgia Wines represents an authentic interpretation of Georgian wines — ancient, textural, and terroir-driven — where tradition and identity come together to create wines with depth and a strong sense of origin.
