This is dark and brilliant garnet red in color. The prevailing notes are fruity, with the opening of black cherry and stewed fruit, followed by balsamic notes of aromatic herbs and spices. Warm and soft, this is truly a wine of great structure and long persistence.
This robust and full-bodied wine pairs perfectly with rich, flavorful dishes like grilled ribeye steak, roasted lamb chops, and hearty venison stew, while also beautifully complementing aged cheeses and savory roasted portobello mushrooms.
In the mouth it is dry, soft, enveloping but at the same time austere, almost severe in revealing itself. On the palate there is a light note of red fruit embellished with hints of vanilla on a soft and thick fabric, perfectly balanced with acidity and tannic notes.
